Skills Development Program
This program provides funding for people to get skills training to help them re-enter the job market.
Feepayer (Skills Development) Program
This program allows participants to take formal training while they receive their Employment Insurance benefits. All school costs are covered by the participants.
Targeted Wage Subsidy Program
This program encourages employers to hire and train participants who would not normally be hired due to a lack of work experience, to fill an existing job.
Job Creation Partnerships Program
This program supports projects that provide work experience opportunities.
Labour Market Development Agreement
These programs are offered through the Labour Market Development Agreement (LMDA) signed with the Government of Canada on July 8, 2009 . This agreement enables Yukon to assist people who eligible for Employment Insurance (EI). It provides Yukoners with supports to enhance their skills and to find, obtain and maintain employment.
