As Minister of Education, I am pleased to welcome you to the Department of Education website.
Communicating with our partners and the public about our programs and services is important. We work closely with partners and stakeholders like you to ensure that our programs and services meet the needs of Yukon learners and help them develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
We welcome your feedback and encourage you to reach out to us with your ideas and your questions about Public Schools (K – 12), Advanced Education (adult education, student financial aid, training, apprenticeship) and Immigration.
I especially invite you to share your thoughts on K – 12 education. Premier Pasloski announced a new vision for education in Yukon in April 2015. We are inviting students, parents, Yukon Teachers’ Association and Yukon educators, First Nations, school councils, and Commission scolaire francophone du Yukon (CSFY), to participate in a collaborative and comprehensive look at education in Yukon, with the goal of focusing our efforts and work to improve outcomes for all students.
With these partners, we will establish a formal process of working together to create and roll out a new vision for education in Yukon, a process for you to share your ideas with us and our partners as we shape the future of Yukon public schools together.
Hon. Doug Graham
Minister of Education
