Yukon Energy Scholarship Program - Tr'ondek Hwech'in

Award Amount:

$100 per course to max $1,000 per student
($3,000 awarded annually)

Criteria:

  • Tr'ondek Hwech'in beneficiary enrolled in part time or full time studies at an accredited post secondary institution in the sciences, engineering, technologies, First Nation, public or business administration, or related areas for a diploma or under-graduate degree;
  • Studies must commence within six months of receiving the scholarship.
  • Recipients of any other Yukon Energy Scholarship are ineligible for the Tr'ondek Hwech'in Yukon Energy Scholarship

Documents Req:

  • Application form;
  • Proof of Tr'ondek Hwech'in beneficiary status;
  • Letter of acceptance from accredited institution in Canada or Alaska;
  • Official transcript from high school, accredited post secondary institution or General Education Development (GED) test;
  • Description of any significant First Nation school or community involvement, volunteer extra-curricular activities, work history, awards or important personal experiences).

Deadline Date:

June 30.  If deadline falls on a weekend, application must be post marked or received by 4:30 pm of the previous business day
