2 annual scholarships of $1,000 each |

Criteria: |
- Canadian citizen who has lived in the Yukon for at least one year;
- First year student entering a trades pre-apprenticeship or entry level trades program at an accredited vocational school, community college, university college or institute in the following electrical industry programs: heavy duty mechanic, industrial instrument mechanic, industrial mechanics (millwright), machinist, electrician, power line technician or electronics technician;
- Must meet education requirements of the program selected;
- Proof of residency is required;
- Studies must begin within six months of the award;
- Previous Yukon Energy scholarship recipients are not eligible.

- Official transcript from high school, accredited post secondary institution or General Education Development (GED) test;
- Proof of residency (Yukon health care card or driver's license);
- Description of citizenship activities (i.e. school or community involvement, volunteer and extra curricular activities, work history, awards, important personal experiences)
