Yukon Energy General Scholarship Program

Award Amount:

4 annual scholarships of $2,000 each:
2 for students entering first year post-secondary;
2 for students entering second or subsequent year of post secondary. 

Criteria:

  • Canadian citizen who has lived in the Yukon for at least one year and is enrolled in a full time certificate, diploma or degree program at an accredited post-secondary institution in the following electrical industry related programs:  business administration, management studies, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, electronic systems engineering or civil engineering. 
  • Proof of residency is required.
  • Studies must begin within six months of the scholarship.
  • Previous Yukon Energy scholarship recipients are not eligible.

Documents Req:

  • Application form;
  • Letter of acceptance from accredited institution in Canada or Alaska;
  • Official transcript from high school, accredited post secondary institution or General Education Development (GED) test;
  • Proof of residency (Yukon health care card or driver's license);
  • Description of citizenship activities (i.e. school or community involvement, volunteer and extra curricular activities, work history, awards, important personal experiences)

Deadline Date:

June 30. If deadline falls on a weekend, applications must be postmarked or received by 4:30 pm previous business day.
