Children eligible to attend Kindergarten in the 2012/13 school year must be 4 years and 8 months of age by September 1, 2012.
All children must be registered for Kindergarten to ensure their place in class this fall. No child will be accepted into a Kindergarten classroom in September until his/her registration has been completed at the school office.

The Department of Education is using an online pre-enrolment process for Whitehorse-area English and French Immersion schools to help improve our planning and serve the needs of Yukon students more efficiently. A link to the online pre-enrolment form is located at the bottom of this page.
Online Kindergarten pre-enrolment for the 2012/13 school year begins February 13 at 9:00 a.m.
For your convenience, the pre-enrolment form is available to view at the bottom of this page beginning February 1.
Please complete the online pre-enrolment form. You can also call the Department of Education’s toll free number: [1-800-661-0408, local 5141] or call/visit any Whitehorse-area English language or French Immersion school office to have staff complete the online form for you.
The complete registration process for Whitehorse-area children involves several steps:
1. Complete the online pre-enrolment form beginning February 13, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.
2. Within three weeks of completing pre-enrolment, households will receive a letter in the mail with confirmation of which school the child will attend and detailed instructions for completing the registration.
3. Once registration instructions are received in the mail, parents will register their children at assigned schools in person with proof of the child’s age, as per the instructions in the invitation to register.
4. Kindergarten orientation will be organized by the individual schools in the spring of 2012.
Registering your child in French Language Programs
If you would like your child to begin Kindergarten in a French Immersion program, select Whitehorse Elementary School as your primary choice when filling out the online pre-enrolment form.

Registering your child in one of the Catholic Schools of Whitehorse
To register your child in one of the Catholic Schools of Whitehorse, indicate the appropriate school in your attendance area when filling out the online pre-enrolment form beginning February 13, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

Student Transfer Procedure
Within three weeks of completing the online pre-enrolment form, the Department of Education will send you a registration package in the mail that indicates which school to register your child. If you wish to apply for a transfer to a different school, or if you would like more information, click here.
